Ring damage

In playing Aerosticks, you will damage the inside edge of the ring over time.

Aerobies have a soft outer edge (designed to be whacked) and a hard inner edge (not designed to be whacked).

Over time the stick will nick the inside of the ring, and you'll need to replace your Aerobie a lot sooner than if you only catch the thing in your hand.

But really, these things are reasonably cheap, and so cool, that this is a small price to pay, in my opinion.

Person damage

Because you will be running around a field with stick in your hand, there is always the danger that you will impale yourself.

Do I need to tell you to avoid doing this?

No matter the potential glory from the catch (and do not doubt the glory that is possible), it is inadvisable to dive toward the ground with a stick pointing from you to the ground.

The broom/rake handles I recommend are gently tapered, for better catching of the Aerobie, but they are not sharp, and of course they should be pointed away from you.

In any case, I hereby disclaim any legal liability for your impaling yourself on a stick.  (And you know I mean it because I said "hereby.")
